A good article or piece that is to be posted on the web is a difficult thing to write, because of the many things that you have to get just right, such as correct spelling, good grammar and a captivating content. When writing for the Web you also have to have a good understanding of the way people read Web pages and also to have a good understanding of the hypertext itself.

The notion of link has become associated with the idea of Web page for a long time now and for good reason. Links provide the means to get from an area of interest to another in the click of a button. As Web pages go, links are a defining characteristic, because although people refer to content when speaking of a Web page, the links are the ones that allow you to process great volumes of information in a short amount of time.
The reason they are capable of doing this is because, in general, links are written in a different color from the rest of the text and most importantly, they are underlined. What is the main difference between a black and white newspaper and one that uses colors? It’s a stupid question really but it underlines one important aspect: colors make the difference. People are pre-programmed to respond to colors, especially to some combinations which have a stronger effect than others. Take the blue-orange association. Almost all people have a positive response to it because their sub-conscious creates a link between these two colors and the relaxing image of a sunset. Many U.S. hospitals took advantage of this fact and use light tones of blue or pink for the uniforms of the nurses because patients tend to calm down and relax when they see those colors. 1. Smaller is better if you refer to images posted on the Web. In this case 10-12 kB are more than enough. There is nothing more upsetting than a slow page and the main reason for this phenomenon is represented by the huge images people tend to post on there Web pages. 1. Poor graphic design - I say it loud … this could be first reason your website sucks. One of my clients told me that more than 50% of his visitors remained on his website after he redesigned his 90’s website. Awesome effect. Use a good color scheme and a proper contrast between the background color and the text color. Please take a look at this stone-age website ( www.tuiasi.ro ) , good navigation and that’s all.
